Cookie usage policy.
Which cookies are necessary, what we keep in localStorage and how cookieless measurement works.

1. About this policy
This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on nautic-profi.ro. The operator's verified legal identity is published only from the store settings before commercial forms are enabled.
2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small file made of letters and numbers, stored on the computer, phone or other device you use to access the internet. Cookies are installed at the request of the web server to your browser and are completely passive — they do not contain software, viruses or spyware and cannot directly access information on your device.
There are two types of cookies by duration: session cookies (deleted automatically when you close the browser) and persistent cookies (remaining on the device for a defined period or until you delete them manually).
3. Categories of cookies we use
The site uses only cookies needed for functions requested by the user:
- The authentication session cookie, when you sign in to an account.
- The temporary protected cookie that lets a signed-out buyer revisit the confirmation for their latest order.
- Technical cookies for the administration interface, used only by authorised store users.
The shopping cart (product identifier and quantity) and visual theme are stored in the browser's local storage (localStorage), not in cookies. The values remain on the device until you change them or clear the site's local data. We do not currently use advertising, retargeting or analytics cookies.
4. Analytics and infrastructure
The site is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Web Analytics measures aggregate page views without analytics cookies, while Speed Insights sends technical page-performance measurements. These services are not used for advertising or profiling.
To provide and secure the service, Vercel may process technical request data under its documentation and privacy policy. Links to external websites do not by themselves set cookies from those websites; their policies apply after you choose to visit them.
5. Consent
The cookies currently used are strictly necessary, and the Vercel measurement described above does not set analytics cookies; this is why the site does not display a consent banner for optional cookies. If we introduce optional technologies that require consent, we will update this policy and the choice mechanism before activating them.
6. How to manage and delete cookies
You can control cookies directly from your browser settings. Instructions for the most popular browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
- Safari (Mac/iOS): Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Blocking cookies may prevent sign-in or revisiting the latest order confirmation as a signed-out buyer. The cart and theme are managed separately by clearing the site's local data in your browser.
7. Cookies and personal data
Session cookies may be associated with an account or an order confirmation. They use browser access restrictions where applicable and are verified on the server; associated data is handled under the Nautic Profi Privacy Policy.
8. Security
Cookies are NOT viruses and do not contain executable code. They cannot access files on your device or act independently. However, we recommend keeping your browser and security software up to date to prevent exploitation of cookie-stored data by malicious actors.
